He shot the world premiere images of the very awaited Lexus LF-30 concept announcing the entry of Lexus in the all-electric world. Probably one of his most complex and time stressed projects yet, “I had an extremely short amount of time to shoot the concept as it was leaving the South of France for Japan. Having foreseen the full CGI environment, this project was completed on time when they turned on the lights at the 2019 Tokyo motor show.”

Title: The Supra is back!

"I got commissioned by Toyota Motor Europe to shoot this race car prototype announcing the return on the market of the iconic Toyota Supra. This project was strictly confidential until the reveal of the car at the 2018 Geneva Motorshow. This meant, for security reasons, the car wasn't allowed outside the manufacturer's photo studio. But the client wanted the car on a race track...

My in-house production company scouted a couple of potential tracks in the south of Spain. We selected the Guadix track because of its very clean environment and beautiful views on the Sierra Nevada mountains. I shot backplates with a stand-in car. After that, I shot the prototype in the studio reproducing light and perspective. The process is pretty technical.

The winning photo was an added shot I did on top of the client's shooting list.  It's my own vision of this concept. Being a former amateur race car driver helped quite obviously for motion and angles."

After completing various commissions for Toyota and Lexus, Sébastien Mauroy recently worked on a personal photo and film lifestyle project with a Mercedes AMG GT.

"Personal projects are open windows that bring in some fresh air to your working process. Having the only goal to satisfy your creative soul and explore places you maybe wouldn't go to on a commercial assignment allows you to dig deeper into your artistic self. I love the energy of spontaneity!"

Sébastien Mauroy has just landed from shooting the new Toyota Camry Hybrid in Croatia for Toyota Motor Europe. The first images for the worldwide launch of the Toyota Supra have also been very challenging and rewarding; he has been following and shooting the car from the concept to the prototype all the way to the final product.
