Giulia Verdinelli is a London-based food and lifestyle photographer whose work is distinctive for the use of intense colours and rich contrasts that highlight textures and shapes. She creates images that are crisp and vibrant and is truly obsessed with details.
Inventive and fun to work with, Giulia enjoys collaborating closely with a team of creatives and foodies to create stunning images for editorial, packaging, advertising, and everything in between.
Giulia’s recent commissions include two advertising campaigns for Lidl, editorial assignments for her long-standing clients Food and Drink Guides and Franco Manca, and packaging for Tesco. She also never stops working on her personal projects as a means to explore new techniques and challenge herself.

Since 2011, almost 40,000 images have been submitted from over 60 countries. The prize pool is worth more than £20,000 and finalists benefit from huge amounts of coverage of their work.
Among the upcoming 7th edition jury are Ferran Adria, iconic chef of the oft-voted world’s best restaurant, El Bulli; Jenna Close, American Society of Media Photographers; Henry Dallal, Photographer; Sheila Dillon, The Food Programme, BBC Radio 4; Pierre Koffman, legendary 3-Michelin starred chef; Alison Morley, Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism, International Center of Photography; H.E. Ali Bin Thalith, Secretary General, HIPA; and Andreas Von Estorff, founder and CEO of Production Paradse. David Loftus, hugely influential and respected food photographer, is to be Chair of the Judges.
