New York [USA]: Eva Mueller
Eva Mueller was born and raised in Germany where she studied graphic design. Originally working as a freelance art director in Munich, she made the transition to fashion, beauty and music photography after moving to New York City.
Her trademark is for strong minimalist images with a sometimes dark humorous twist. "Less is more," she says about her work. "Creating timeless and fun images is more important than copying the trend of the moment."
Eva often acts as art director for her own shoots, incorporating a graphic designer's sensitivity for concept and composition. One of her specialities is projection, super-imposing textures, architecture or symbols onto naked bodies.
Her editorial work has appeared in international magazines such as Blackbook, Tank, GQ, Vellum, Zink, 125 Magazine, and New York Magazine. She has shot advertising campaigns for Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Panasonic, Master Card, Footlocker, Steve Madden, and Guinness, among many others.
