Johan van der Merwe is a London-based commercial food stylist working on advertising, editorial, packaging, film and video projects. With over 15 years' experience as a trained chef working in Canada, South Africa, Ireland and London in the Waterside Inn, Cafe Paradiso and Ballymaloe Cookery School. It is with this broad knowledge of food and cooking that he is able to bring a unique work ethic to food styling. As well as performing a high quality service at a client to client base, he can also bring a creative energy to every assignment.
His clients include campaigns for Jameson, Coca-Cola, Guinness, Kerry Gold, Tesco, Aldi and Lidl, to name a few. He has also been featured in Root and Bone Magazine, British Vogue, Food and Wine Magazine, Paper Sea Magazine, The Sunday Business Post and The Times.
