Thankam Kumaran is a freelance photographer based in Kochi, India. She is a self-taught photographer who specialises in working in natural light. She believes that natural light gives her subjects the most poetic justice.

Thankam started her career as a travel photographer, capturing candid portraits of people from all races across India. Portraits are her favorite subjects as she feels a human face is just like a playground where many emotions can be captured. Her recent passion is all about kids and new-born photography. Love for kids and a keen interest in human psychology enables her to capture them with much ease.

Thankam specialises in portraits, travel, new-born, kids, food, travel documentaries and lifestyle photography. She is also a certified graphic designer. She is also known by the name Bindaas Thankam and her facebook fan page ‘Bindaas Thankam Shots-Out Photography’ has a huge fan following of people who like the candid nature of her photography.
