Anas Cherur Dubai

"Dubai-based professional photographer with more than 10 years of experience, I began my career as a graphic designer. However, my passion for lights, shades and colours led to me morphing into a photographer.

Light is something that has always fascinated me. The same location seen at different times under different light conditions leaves the photographer in me amazed. Most of my photography inspirations are from cinema; cinematographer Roger Deakins is my all time favorite. Some day I hope to possess a portfolio - and a professional attitude - similar to that great man!

Over the last eight years in the UAE, I’ve contributed my photography skills to magazines such as BBC Good Food, CitizenK, WatchTime, InsideOut, Friday, Gulf News and Fatfeat, to name a few.

I love meeting and interacting with people every day, some of them I take along in this journey called life."

Johan Visschedijk Amsterdam

"'Don’t drive and drink!' is what we always say, but are there moments when you need to?

I like to shoot cars and food, but people say that this is actually not really possible. Well judge for yourself if you like the shots you see. The fun factor in my work as a photographer is the biggest drive for me, and you can't do it all by yourself. That’s why having good people around you is so important. Having a good time with your team is even more fun.

Working for brands like Grolsch, Renault, Bacardi and KIA gives you a certain status, but working for less known brands can sometimes give you more enjoyment than any job you've ever dreamed of.

I do all my still photography in my small cosy studio in Amsterdam and for the bigger sets I rent a studio with everything we need and in the city we want to shoot."

Karen Thomas London

Karen’s love of food is evident in her still and motion work. She has spent the last 20 years passionately capturing food at its best and in the last few years, she has also enjoyed directing impressive motion work too.

Rebecca Peloquin Los Angeles

"I’m Rebecca, a food, beverage and product photographer based in Los Angeles with more than a decade of experience behind the camera. I’ve worked in a wide array of photographic specialties from beauty and portraiture, to cosmetics and now focused on everything food. This weird path makes me an expert in on set problem solving, food and product styling, creative set building, and on the fly posing, resulting in a well rounded versatility, prepared for any hiccups along the way.

I’ve shot for restaurants, cookbooks, ad campaigns and social media for clients like Maybelline, Dole, Endorphin Chocolate, Hungryroot, Belcampo, many excellent alcohol brands and food charities like Food Forward

Since food is supremely important, to respect it properly I strive to avoid harmful food styling tricks that will render the food inedible and donate leftovers from set as I know firsthand how prevalent food scarcity is in all of our communities. I’m also reasonably fun."

Stuart Miller Australia

Sue Atkinson London

Throughout her 20+ years photographing food and drink, Sue’s love of organic form has become increasingly evident in the sensitive lighting and attention to detail she brings to her work for clients such as Coke, Danone, Godiva, McDonald’s, McVitie’s, Schweppes and Warburton’s.

Capturing the essence of her subjects with mouth-watering realism, frequently in extreme close-up, her work is equally concerned with timing and freezing movement at the decisive moment which brings the still image to life.

Sue is happy to work with clients and remotely.  After a shoot during lock-down her assistant, Bea, emailed: “I think the shoot went really well considering everything and that nobody is used to this kind of shoot. You were, as always, very calm and did an amazing job. You do know exactly what to do to make things look beautiful - it amazes me every time.”
