This Spotlight presents two personal spreads by Anatol Gottfried.

Starring Jeep Renegade and the actor Giuseppe Leoni, this mesmerising editorial was produced near the conclusion of the summer on the island of Sardinia. A tale about the freedom of taking a road journey at night beneath the infinite sky and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea during the day.

Last year was full of wonderful people and great memories, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year. It’s always time to push new creative ideas and have fun doing it!" - Anthony.

Australian born, Los Angeles-based photographer, director and content creator Anton Watts has been extremely busy during 2022 and has already started shooting in 2023.

Anton finished off the year shooting with Ferrari, Toyota, Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes and Porsche.

Here’s some of the work and a little sneak peak at Ferrari. Anton also managed to squeeze in a personal project called 'ME BEFORE YOU'.

"I grew up in the darkroom of my family's newspaper company in the United States. In the early 90s, I went to art school in Italy. After many years as an art director, in 2005 I decided to leave Young & Rubicam Madrid to follow my dream of becoming a commercial photographer. From there I went on to work for all the major ad agencies in Spain, having created campaigns for clients like Chevrolet, Fanta, Land Rover and many others. Before moving to back to Italy in 2010 I had already began working for international clients Nike, MasterCard and Eden, just to name a few.

From 2010 to the present day I have worked very hard to follow my childhood dream to become an automotive photographer. It is a very competitive world out there, but I have had the pleasure to have worked for some of the most iconic car manufacturers in the world.

My love of creating art has taken me to shoot worldwide campaigns for MG, Pininfarina, Porsche, and many more."

Ciprian Mihai is a photographer based in Europe, but his work goes beyond borders, working in the Middle East, Asia, and more. His current portfolio describes 15 years of shooting automotive commercial, lifestyle and motion photography around the world.

From his latest project we get an awesome view of the BMW X///M in different styles, mixing people and cars together. Ciprian shot a new commercial for Honda and created a new way of combining CGI and photography for a Porsche GT3 shoot. Using drones to shoot is a new way of creating awesome angles and introducing the audience in the atmosphere of the location.

His portfolio is based on using lighting techniques and retouching to perfection, but also shooting with natural light, scouting locations and picking up the perfect moment to shoot. Picking one photo from a set sometimes isn't enough, as he loves to have a full feature that can tell the story.

During his career he has worked for lots of automotive brands like BMW, Honda, Dacia, VW, Toyota, Acura, Lynk&Co, Chery, Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, Skoda, Opel and worked with various advertising agencies around the world.

David Casas is a certified automotive photographer and 2D/3D creative retoucher based in Barcelona.

He has been working in the automotive industry since 2008. With many years of experience in the sector, his work is highly praised by brands like Cupra, Seat, Nissan and more!

David has been awarded with the Automotive Project by the IPA (International Photography Awards), APA (Annual Photography Awards) and One Eyeland Awards.

"New campaign work to kick off 2023. Hero images, lifestyle and social. Working with an amazing team shooting the Genesis G80 with agency Innocean Seoul in South Korea.

The first time we worked with Innocean was in Dallas shooting Hyundai a few years ago and we had a blast (nearly got snowed in there for Christmas… but that’s another story!). This shoot was no different, the best bunch of people - it was almost like we weren’t working.

Jeff wrapped up 2022 with a couple exciting projects, both around his home base of Southern California. First up is a project for Hyundai, shooting their new Ioniq 6 electric vehicle. Over six days, Jeff and team covered the car from every angle, and then shot a day of video, presented during the reveal of the car to the public at the Los Angeles Auto Show. With a huge shot list, Jeff managed multiple units around the city to ensure they got every shot.

Next up is a cool concept for Turo, the car-sharing service. For their headline, "Open New Doors", Jeff created this series, where a whole other world exists just through the vehicle. The smooth results are not only the result of great retouching, but also good planning on set, to match the angle and integrate lighting.

Based in Los Angeles, Jeff has shot automotive projects around the world for over 15 years.

Joe Carlson is an automotive photographer and director based in LA.

He has developed a reputation as a top artist in his field. Over more than 20 years, he has created content for the world’s leading car brands including Honda, Infiniti, Nissan, Subaru, VW, Mercedes Benz, Lincoln, Ford and Chevrolet.

Joe’s mastery of studio lighting and the relaxed, efficient environment at the studio is what brings many clients to the facility that he designed and built. Studio C2 has everything needed to handle any still or motion project, complete with flush mount, computer controlled turntable and 10’ x 40’ LED lightbox. The state-of-the-art facility produces still, motion, CGI and retouching projects. This year we have been keeping busy with projects for Infiniti, Toyota, VW and Subaru.

When not shooting in the studio, Joe loves to travel, shooting backplates and landscapes for automotive and personal projects.

Luciano Consolini was born in the Ivory Coast and grew up in different countries (the Ivory Coast, Italy, France). He is an automotive and lifestyle commercial photographer and director. He shoots people, places and vehicles, combining the Italian style and creativity with a higher standard of perfection. Passion and perfection, this mix is the recipe behind every shoot and film.

Pursuing the image wherever it is found, he travels all around the world for his international clients and inspiration, constantly challenging himself.

With a journalist and graphic design background, he looks for the story behind every product and brand, and he narrates it through his vision.

He's very passionate about engines and photography. He is continuously investing in new equipment and new projects.

2022 wrapped up with multiple projects going live for Nathan. This Spotlight features a few of those projects, including the press launch materials for the Toyota GR Corolla, Prius, and Corolla, as well as capturing all of the accessories for the 2023 Lexus RX.

Nathan is a photographer specialising in automotive and aerospace photography, capturing the motion and emotion they possess. His home base of Denver, Colorado, provides close proximity to mountains and outdoor adventure, which translates to the natural feel of his work.

Richard is photographer based in Budapest, Hungary, specialising in automotive and lifestyle photography.

Starting out as an advertising photographer focusing on still life, portrait and architecture, Richard found his new passion in automotive photography, where he can expand his knowledge of the craft to combine it with his urge of storytelling through people-centered lifestyle photography.

His latest projects include lifestyle photography for the new BMW M8, MX5 and the M2 GT. He also recently worked with Suzuki on the studio shoot of the new Swace, and did an editorial series for the Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Simon Stock is a London-based, award-winning advertising photographer and director whose work takes him all over the world, photographing some of the most iconic car brands. He is also an established commercials director and he has directed commercials for Bentley, Discovery Channel, Mercedes, Toyota, Volvo, Wild Aid, Norfolk Southern Railway, ITV, the 'Bleed for England' spot for the Rugby World Cup and most recently Toby Carvery and Travelodge.

He has also shot two of the world’s largest automotive images, a 57 billion pixel image of the Dubai marina featuring a W12 Flying Spur and previously an incredible 53 billion pixel shot of a Mulsanne in San Francisco on the Golden Gate Bridge for Bentley.
