Erik Chmil Cologne

Erik Chmil is based in Cologne, Germany. He has been working as a freelance photographer in various countries around the globe since 1993. Erik is best-known for his high-end car and landscape photography but recently got a special request from a world-renowned top chef.

The gourmet restaurant Vendôme near Cologne, run by three-star chef Joachim Wissler, ranks among the best gourmet restaurants in Germany. Joachim is the country's most highly decorated cook: three Michelin stars, 19.5 points in the Gault Millau, and numerous other prizes have been awarded to him. He purposely asked Erik to support him with the creative realisation of his latest picture book. 

The collaboration has been highly successful with the Reddot Design Award, the World Cookbook Award by Gourmand, as well as a 'Bronze' from the Art Directors Club. In short, the publication was acclaimed worldwide as the best cookbook of 2011.

Erik is represented in Germany, Switzerland and Austria by PAM-Mirjam Böhm.

Francesco Majo is an international food and lifestyle photographer. Jan Prerovsky Editorial & Food Photography Prague

Jan was born in 1978 in the Czech Republic and soon after his family emigrated to Munich. While studying politics at the Ludwig-Maximillian-University, Jan started working as an assistant for several photographers and devoted himself more and more to the craft of photography.

In the year 2000 Jan decided to fully concentrate on photography. He started working at Schneider-Press, in the field of boulevard photography, while he was also getting commissions for several newspapers and agencies. In addition to the portrait and reportage work he also ran a photo studio together with a colleague photographer and worked on different projects including an experimental movie, "Road to Fokstugu" which was screened in various movie theatres throughout Germany.

In 2004 Jan decided to move to Prague and concentrate on his own projects. He worked for the weekly paper The Prague Post where he covered everything from reportage to food and restaurant photography. That was when he discovered his passion for food photography. In 2008 one of his cover pages won an Award of Excellence in the European Newspaper Awards. From that year on he specialised in the field of food photography, and he is now working for FOOD Magazine and the Agency Stockfood.com, amongst others. In 2009 he published his first cook book for Nescafe.

His work is published in newspapers and magazines all over Europe and overseas.

Juul Staehr & Bengtsson Photography Copenhagen

Based in Berlin, Manuel Krug is an editorial and advertising photographer who has been shooting people and food for nearly 20 years.

His work has been published in many magazines, including Gruner & Jahr Verlag, Jahreszeiten-Verlag, Verlagsgruppe Handelsblatt, Burda-Verlag, and more. Last year he developed a cookery book with over 90 images of countryside dishes, landscapes and animals.

Manuel's work was recently exhibited at the International Food Photo Festival in Tarragona, Spain.

One of his newest passions is high-speed liquid photography that he plans to develop this coming year. Manuel runs his own studio in the centre of Berlin and continues to work on location to get the full natural look into his images.

Nuno Correia was born in Lisbon and focuses on people, still life and food photography.

Tim Hill London

Tim and Zoe Hill are recovering from shooting Christmas, and trying to find some enthusiasm to put on the real thing.

Their latest toy is a laptop to enable shooting on location, since a cushion shoot for Hugh Ehrman involved location work the laptop has made it easier and more fun to do.

The baking part returns in January as well as more cushions - Zoe is currently scouting locations. February has an on location cookbook pencilled-in so there is a lot of gearing-up to do.
