This past quarter location photographer Steve Jones continued doing documentation in the art world on an eight-day shoot in Los Angeles for NYC artist Derek Fordjour’s “Nightsong” solo exhibition. Arriving in advance of the opening, he captured stills of the installation, performance rehearsals and invitation-only opening one night and the public opening the next.

Representing his diverse skillset, he also covered the Southern Heritage Classic football game which is a culmination of a week-long celebration for Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) which draws huge crowds for entertainment, tailgating and the football game itself in Memphis, TN.

Other photos here show a steel mill in Indiana, an advertising shot for the Indie Film Festival, Memphis’ famous Beale Street featuring a vintage Cadillac, as well as rice and sorghum harvesting and an air-conditioning factory in Tennessee.
