After working as a producer for many years, Kyla Elaine made the career change to photography after a life-long passion for the craft.
While playing with light and experimenting with shapes, textures, objects and colours, it’s her unexpected approach that makes you look.
From polished to playful, Kyla challenges the boundaries of still life photography - unique angles, intended shadows, gravity-defying placements and animations serve to create memorable images.
Her creativeness, collaboration efforts and chill attitude in the studio is why clients like adidas, Karl Lagerfeld, Ace & Tate, Tommy Hilfiger, Reebok and Buddha to Buddha want to shoot with her.
Kyla is currently working on a personal project titled 'Unfolded'. By unfolding the paper and using light to enhance, she aims to show the graphic nature, structure, beauty, and the care that goes into making each piece of the ancient art of Japanese culture.
