    Munich: Stefan Schütz

Stefan Schütz is a Munich-based people and sports photographer. He combines his passion for sports, travel and adventure with photography all around the world.

Several recent expeditions have taken him through Central Asia, Africa and South America. Always on the search for those little-known locations far away from the tourist trail, in 2007/2008 he travelled nine months and 60,000 km in his Toyota through 21 African countries. The resulting book 'Views of Africa' was nominated for the 2010 German Photo Book Award.

Celebrities including Alex and Thomas Huber, Dirk Nowitzki, Ian Thorpe and Jürgen Klopp have all enjoyed shooting with Stefan. His upcoming worldwide campaign for Gore-Tex was shot on location in Austria, Germany, Spain and Italy, often in difficult weather conditions.

Stefan and his team travelled to Tenerife for an image campaign for Sport Scheck. He also shot Bundesliga football team Mainz 05 for Entega through agency DDB Berlin. The 2011 Chiemsee Beachwear summer collection was shot on location in Mauritius, where Stefan worked on both a photo and video shoot with authentic local surfer and German Wave-Freestyle-Windsurfing master Klaas Voget.

    Munich [Germany]: Stefan Schuetz

Photographer Stefan Schuetz spent six months documenting his travels between twelve African countries. Beginning in Munich and winding his way down the east coast of the continent to Cape Town, Stefan returned with some beautiful memories:

"I never felt life so true than in Africa! The openness, helpfulness and enthusiasm of the people is very catching."

"For me it was very important not to repeat the usual images of the gap between rich and poor in today's Africa. I observed, listened, and I learned a lot."

As a result Stefan was able to capture the unbroken pride of Africa in his images. After 30.000 kilometres without hindrance, his appetite for photography and life has been reinvigorated.

The Munich-based sports and people photographer attaches huge importance to instinctive authenticity in his freelance work. For his latest advertising shoots he used all available media to place Dirk Nowitzki, Ian Thorpe and other sports stars in perspective.
