"Monky Productions is a full service film and photo production company based in Oslo. We deliver our service all over the Nordic countries and frequently take productions up north into the Arctic.

The last years we have been increasingly doing a lot of hybrid shoots, where a photo production also becomes a full blown film production.

We recently brought Spring Studios and photographer Anders Overgaard, into the beautiful arctic winter scenery of the Lofoten islands in north Norway, to create the Breitling Explorers campaign. We had a great but intense day of shooting where we set up seven units, working parallel, to create these stunning winter scenes.

There is also a short but beautiful summer up north. The city of Tromsø and its fantastic surroundings makes it a go to place for anyone who wishes to shoot in the north.

This is where we brought photographer Renate Torseth and director Emilie Norenberg. We helped them create the AW campaign for the women’s clothing brand Kari Traa.

Earlier this year, Monky produced a series of editorials in collaboration with photographer Massimo Leardini, which resulted in some amazing work. His Scandinavian style makes for some truly elegant images. The series made the covers of D La Repubblica and Whitelies Magazine, featuring celebrity actors Lilly Collins, Anders Danielsen Lie and model Sophie Klock.

This summer, Monky brought the legendary sportscar Alpine on a road trip of around 1,400km through the Norwegian mountains, ending at the famous and spectacular Atlantic road. An amazing trip with an amazing car.

Other recent clients include FIFA, Eyrise, Color Line, Equinor and collaborations with photographers Erik Almås, Julian Calverley, Anders Øvergaard and Øivind Haug, among others.

2017 was an exciting year for Monky, where projects led to exploring several beautiful areas of the long, stretched out coastline of Norway. Monky juggled projects from southern Norway all the way up at 79 degrees north in the Arctic area of Svalbard.

Among the exciting projects was Scotch & Soda's A/W 17 campaign, where fashion photographer Elisabeth Toll and film director Fleur Fortune wdre flown in to Svalbard. Handling a crew of 56 people, 14 cars, two horses, a dog, four armed polar bear guards, one ship and the occasional whale, Monky made sure everything went as planed.

Photographer Bela Adler brought a team from Spain to western Norway and produced some stunning work for the brand Stradivarius and its A/W 17 campaign.
