Bas Oosterwal is a (freelance) art director for almost 25 years and a professional photographer for 10. It happens regularly that images that he creates as an art director he also shoots afterwards. Very useful, a photographer with ‘art-directional eyes’. He therefore needs little explanation if someone else has created something and his role is purely about executive photography. He mainly shoots advertising, fashion, portraits and lifestyle. In his own studio in Amsterdam or on any location, everything is possible. Like more photographers, Bas is also making his way into moving images.
