Starting out as an advertising photographer specialized in still life portrait and architecture, Richard found his new passion in automotive photography, where he can expand his knowledge of shaping natural and artificial light to combine it with his urge of storytelling through people-focused automotive lifestyle photography.
In his personal work Richard experiments with both digital and archaic techniques, always pushing the medium and himself to its limits. His playfulness did not leave him after graduating with a Masters degree in photography in fact he expanded his multidisciplinarity to the advertising field. His creative mind and eyes for detail drive him to explore the essence behind the product while capturing the moment.

This Spotlight showcases a selection of his most recent work, including dark and moody atmospheric imagery for the BMW iX, a playful and spirited series for the VW ID.3 in the Swedish countryside, and a personal series of dynamic images featuring the iconic BMW M6 in action at the Hungaroring racetrack.

Budapest: Richard Toth
Richard is photographer based in Budapest, Hungary, specialising in automotive and lifestyle photography.
Starting out as an advertising photographer focusing on still life, portrait and architecture, Richard found his new passion in automotive photography, where he can expand his knowledge of the craft to combine it with his urge of storytelling through people-centered lifestyle photography.
His latest projects include lifestyle photography for the new BMW M8, MX5 and the M2 GT. He also recently worked with Suzuki on the studio shoot of the new Swace, and did an editorial series for the Mercedes-Benz CLA.
