Though based in Scotland, my work takes me all over Europe, enjoying the many complexities involved in bringing shoots to life. From scoping out the set, collaborating, interacting with and orchestrating crew members and models, mixing with the talent off camera, getting to know them personally, finding out what makes them tick, sharing life stories and making them feel that I’m not a stranger on set.  

It’s exciting and challenging to shoot multiple scenarios, ages, ethnicities and cultures and my work tells positive, aspirational stories from the everyday, touching in on people’s lives and work, looking for true emotions, reactions and beautifully lit scenes. I love to watch people work, shop, drive, walk, travel, eat, smile, laugh, LIVE.  

Married and very proud father of two beautiful (if slightly crazy) children who have almost convinced us to get a dog!
