Joel Pront
Joel is the kind of director who once tried to edit his grocery list into a three-act structure. A film nerd since he first duct-taped a camcorder to his forehead as a kid, Joel sees the world exclusively through a camera lens. His films are a wild mix of nonsensical brilliance, like his cult classic “The Day the Coffee Machine Rebelled,” which critics called “Kubrick meets Caffeine.” He’s been known to shout “Action!” at random strangers on the street, then get mad when they don’t hit their marks.
But, seriously, Joel is a master of practical and CG effects, brilliant with character, worldbuilding and visual craft, Joel has worked on projects of every scale and subject, from handheld mockumentary to global brand campaigns. His superb aesthetics, his sense of scale and drama, coupled with the intimacy of connection, create stories that don’t just reach audiences – they move them. Joel’s work strips away the noise to find that electric connection between the brand and the viewer, creating a message that sticks.
