Boris has over 30 years of experience and expertise as a director and DOP. He is passionate about the art of filmmaking, challenging himself with each shot, looking to create new and innovative work that satisfies clients and audiences alike.

After starting his career as a lighting cameraman, Boris has shot everything from cars and beauty to food and drink. He has developed a unique visual style and has become a master of liquid, food, slow-motion, and special effects. His films often combine live-action with specialist cinematography to tell stories that capture the beauty and emotion of objects. 

Boris has shot in 26 countries, working with a diverse list of clients (Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Audi, L’Oréal, P&G, and Mercedes). Being freelance and not tied to any production company, he is able to work freely and flexibly on everything from small creative jobs for local companies to worldwide campaigns for large agencies and clients. He loves working with people, in or out of the studio, and is always developing new techniques to take his films to the next level.

The merger of photo and film has been quite normal for Karsten Koch for years. Nowadays, however, more important than ever. Combining both style elements makes perfect sense for Karsten. In this way, he can easily serve the many different formats with your different requirements.

Efficiency is the goal when Karsten simply switches quickly between the camera systems, since the entire planning in terms of technology and light is directly coordinated with it. In January Karsten Koch will be in South Africa for summer, with low numbers of infections and capacity for synergy effects.

By establishing their local unit “SPEEDBALL ONE” in early 2020, SPEEDBALL PRODUCTIONS went all-in on Germany with a strong focus and base in Hamburg, and “the North” as their playground with its pretty endless and divers possibilities.

They are poised to offer their clients locations and services on a world-class level, while sharing a truly local and sustainable experience. And yes of course, certified and safe! 

In their first year they had the pleasure to work with some amazing editorial and commercial photographers for magazines like ELLE, Schön! and Quality Magazine and brands like FILA, Burlington, Casamoda, Venti, Compass and Broadway.

With the idea of the 'Metropolitan Gallery' of Saatchi, Michael Heinsen has created pictures for the international launch for Siemens home appliances. An international, high-quality, credible and unique look characterises these pictures.

In Corona times Michael has also created strong and atmospheric images for Amprion, a German Transmission System Operator.

Our location is divided into three self-contained studios, one of which has two balconies and all of them feature fully equipped professional kitchens. The Haller 6 Location is located in the heart of Hamburg. It is located on the mezzanine floor of an old building from 1886 in the Rotherbaum district. Three individual salons await you on 180 square meters, through whose large, original wooden windows, atmospheric daylight falls.

Each of the three salons are adorned with ornamental stucco elements from the 19th century and they can be separated from one another by impressive antique sliding and wing doors. The effective interplay of pastel painted and natural wall surfaces form the ideal framework for your photo, film and event productions. The atmospheric ambience is rounded off by the original parquet and plank floors.
