Thalía Gochez
A curated selection of creatives and service providers from Latin America and the Caribbean in the latest edition of Showcase.
Welcome to the newest edition of Showcase Latin America and the Caribbean, celebrating the talent and services shaping the region’s commercial creative industry. This issue features photographers and full-service production companies working across both motion and stills.
In this issue, Mexico brings a World Cup–themed campaign for Coppel and summery vibes for C&A; Colombia offers stunning locations and global campaigns for Heineken; and Brazilian creativity and the pristine Caribbean coast attract the coolest fashion publications and brands.
Our featured editorial was shot by Thalía Gochez, a self-taught Salvadoran–Mexican American visual artist based in Los Angeles. Her work explores cultural identity, womanhood, and self-representation. This series, created for Jordan Kids, is a manifesto for empowering little girls of colour in their communities. More exceptional creatives can be explored in our Directory and in previous issues of Showcase Latin America and the Caribbean.
And finally, here’s a selection of events not to be missed:
A commemorative exhibition marks the 70th anniversary of World Press Photo at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City, presenting a selection of the most representative winning photographs.
Until 2 August, Palacio Libertad in Buenos Aires hosts Las Soñadoras, inspired by Grete Stern’s photomontages for Idilio magazine. Readers sent in their dreams to be analysed, accompanied by Stern’s compositions, a central figure in modern Argentinian photography.

7 Seas Productions
Full Photo & Film Production Services
There are few cities where history, architecture, and the Caribbean come together as effortlessly as they do in Cartagena.
Within minutes, productions can move from centuries-old colonial streets to striking contemporary homes, from sun-drenched plazas to secluded beach villas overlooking the Rosario Archipelago. Every corner offers a new visual language, making Cartagena one of Latin America's most versatile production destinations.
Perhaps Cartagena's greatest asset lies behind its iconic facades. Beautifully restored colonial mansions, exclusive beachfront villas, and intimate boutique properties provide a remarkable range of locations rarely found within a single destination. Thanks to decades of local relationships, 7 Seas offers access to many of these unique spaces, opening doors that are simply unavailable through conventional location scouting.
Producing in Cartagena is refreshingly uncomplicated. Experienced crews, efficient logistics, straightforward customs procedures, and convenient international air connections create an environment where creativity can remain the focus.
Recent productions for Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, J.Crew, Bergdorf Goodman, For Love & Lemons, and Madewell reflect the growing international confidence in the Colombian Caribbean.
