Cherry Li
Food & drink photographers
At the age of 13, magic came into Cherry Li’s life in the form of a blurry tree emerging on a white piece of paper submerged in a tub of liquid developer. Frozen in that moment, in her dorm-kitchen converted-darkroom in suburban California, Cherry knew it would be her life’s obsession to find magic in every mundane situation - and share that magic with the world. If she wasn’t sleeping, she was shooting; if she wasn’t shooting, she was printing; if she wasn’t printing, she was sleeping!
Immediately after graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Cherry moved to Paris to pursue beauty and fashion photography. It was there, in her second home, that she found her life’s second obsession: food. Cooking and eating started to invade the time that she used to spend sleeping.
In 2012, when she moved to China to devote herself to shooting personal projects, she realised just how dear and personal eating was, and thus slowly allowed her palate to join her palette, to create a style of food photography that is intimate, delicious, and full of magic in every detail.

Oliver Nanzig
Zurich
As a child he wanted to be a fireman; as a teenager he tried his hand at becoming a chef. But at the age of 18, Oliver Nanzig realised that his true life's passion was photography. From 1991 to 1995, he was able to gain an excellent insight into the profession thanks to an apprenticeship, and has been self-employed ever since. Oliver has worked at the studio and workspace on Cramerstrasse 15 in Zurich's district Kreis 4 since 2005 - predominantly for advertising agencies, but also for editorial and private clients.
In the meantime, the photographer - who spent part of his childhood in the warm climes of Indonesia - was drawn to sunny Los Angeles. During his three-year time out there, Oliver was inspired not by the sun, but by artificial light. His night-time rambles gave rise to the 17-part series 'Night Drive', which he subsequently presented at an exhibition in 2012.
Oliver loves to photograph stationary objects... that move. People who tell a story without words, whose stories are only written later, edited on a computer screen. But even in the digital age, his analogue past taught him to focus on the camera and the light before the mouse comes into play.
Oliver's ability to compose atmospheric images is most likely linked to his passion for music. His ability to sidestep fiery situations on shoots is, perhaps, a nod to his early ambitions!

Sakis Lalas Photography
Advertising photographers
Sakis Lalas lives and works between London and Milan. He specialises in celebrity portraits, fashion, advertising and commercial photography. His ability to instantly grasp the personality of the people in front of the camera allows him to put them at ease and realise deeply intimate portraits that reflect their personalities. This skill, along with the capacity of meeting tight deadlines, has led him to photograph people of international fame. Over the years he has photographed some of the most famous stars of the fashion industry (Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Silvia Fendi, Ralph Lauren), as well as many top businessmen. He is able to achieve the same perfection in photographing pets too, as one can see in the pictures of the Dolce & Gabbana's Bengala kittens published in Town & Country UK spring 2016 collector’s edition.
Cinema has always been Lalas' passion and recently he decided to dedicate more time to the art. Regularly in Los Angeles, he has shot for People and Esquire magazines, amongst others, portraits of big movie industry names such as Patrick Tatopoulos (the production designer of Batman Vs Superman), Phedon Papamichael (director of photography & 2014 Oscar nominee for Nebraska), and Spyros Skouras, a film agent and grandson of the legendary Skouras president of 20th Century Fox from 1942-1962.
