624 to images and beyond Helsinki

Janne Westerlund, owner and photographer at Helsinki-based 624 to images and beyond, is passionate about food behind the camera and in the kitchen. When shooting food he leaves the cooking and the food styling to the team and pays his full attention to the portion in front of the camera.

Janne enjoys working with professionals who bring their cooking and styling skills to the table, leaving him free to bring out the best taste in a single picture. He works intently with the lighting, focusing even on the smallest details.

Recently, Janne's pictures have been seen building new restaurant concepts, shooting for American diners, bistros and hotels. On a shoot Janne feels comfortable with almost anything on the plate, but in his own kitchen he prepares just vegetarian food, specialising in Asian tastes and cross kitchen.
