Andrea Di Lorenzo Italy

Andrea Di Lorenzo is an Italian living in Rome. Beginning as a movie director, then moving into still photography on movie sets, he has lately become a well known food and travel photographer in Italy.

Andrea spends his time between editorial projects and restaurant shoots across Italy and Europe: his work is mainly appreciated for its natural yet still sophisticated touch, as well as his open-minded aperture and easy-going attitude to the people he works with.

Some of Andrea’s clients include National Geographic, Der Feinschmecker, Cook Inc., La Cucina Italiana, Munchies, Vice and Dream Cruises.

Andy Mahr Texas

Andy Mahr is a Texas-based photographer. His work has regularly been featured in the Communication Arts Photo Annual, PDN and One Eyeland, and he has been nominated as one of Archive Magazine's '200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide' several times.

Andy began his photography career as a travel and landscape photographer. He loves immersing himself in different cultures and has travelled the world, visiting six of the seven continents.

Andy started his career as an art director. Coming from the advertising world he has a unique understanding of the creative process and a real appreciation of what creatives go through to bring their ideas to light.

Anthony J Rayburn Miami

The Tourism Board of Florida commissioned Anthony J Rayburn for a statewide project spanning fifteen cities over the course of three months. Anthony J Rayburn Photography was not only responsible for creating captivating imagery but also coordinated dozens of models, families, businesses, logistics, and legalities all while covering thousands of miles on the road.

Anthony's colourful and journalistic style showcases all the treasures Florida’s melting pot culture has to offer, from the people and hospitality, to the food, events, and the raw outdoors of this water state. His ability to fully integrate himself in local communities and his fluid personality was the key to success for this commission.

He is currently on commission for the Tourism Board of Fort Lauderdale documenting this tropical community, rich in history.

Brian Hodges Photography Australia

A seasoned collaborator and worldwide traveller, Brian Hodges is an Australian-based travel and editorial shooter known for capturing authentic moments and images with a powerful connection to place.

In love with travel and the lure of the road, his camera has taken him to more than 60 countries around the globe. Hodges is fluent in three languages and equally comfortable in the photo studio or far off the beaten track.

The photos featured in this Spotlight are taken from a body of work made in northern Uganda for a humanitarian organisation working with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The series documents post conflict recovery in zones affected by the nearly two decades-long war with the Lord’s Resistance army (LRA).

Hodges' award-winning work has been recognised in the creative industry’s leading publications including Photo District News, National Geographic Traveller and GEO Magazine, among others.

Christopher Willan Barcelona

Chris Willan tells the stories of places and people through crisp and authentic images that hum with warmth, humanity and humour. His 20 years of experience have seen him work across advertising, TV, film, NGO, editorial and corporate assignments, both alone and as part of creative teams and  in over 90 countries worldwide.

Born in Uganda, raised in Liverpool and based in Spain for the last 20 years, his natural affinity with all people - from Rastas to Royalty, burger flippers to billionaires - means he creates images of rare sympathy wherever he goes. In recent years, that eye for the narrative within has seen him solo exhibit at Tate Modern, Museu d'Història de la Immigració de Catalunya, The Gallery Oldham and The National Theatre, and win the World Responsible Travel Award for photography.

2014 saw him move into moving image and he is currently completing a worldwide shoot for a major travel company. Chris is the Creative Director of Photography at Greentraveller Productions. He works from a large studio in the heart of Barcelona.

Clara Tuma Zurich - Marseille

Clara Tuma's art is light-hearted yet sophisticated. For many years, Clara specialised in photographing a wide range of food projects for advertising, editorials and book publishers. She then found that clients who appreciated her sense of beauty and eye for detail also started asking her to shoot travel, lifestyle, portraits and interiors.

Eleni Fragou studied photography in the technological educational institute of Athens. Travel and landscape photography have been integral parts of the core of her work during her 20-year career.

Being a passionate traveller, Eleni takes pictures that give details about the spaces and the areas she visits, while encapsulating the experiences and feelings that arise from her travels - an aspect of photography she considers to be the most important of them all.

Her professional experience in the fields of communication and advertising, both in Greece and abroad, is a key factor in the creation of imagery that communicates with people while maintaining its artistic nature.

Florian Schulte Vienna

Photographer Florian Schulte is based in Vienna and has more than 10 years' experience with advertisement and lifestyle, portraiture and travel photography.

He is often commissioned to shoot with real talents, and his relaxed approach on set allows them to achieve a very natural and candid performance.

His national and international clients range from corporate clients and magazines to international brands. He recently photographed the Nationalrat of Austria and made campaigns for Lambretta, HONGi and Raiffeisenbank.

Francesca Anichini Italy

Florence-based editorial and commercial photographer, Francesca Anichini, is passionate about ethnography and anthropology. A serial traveller, since childhood Francesca has sought to understand and capture in images the spirit of the people she meets.

Urban life, rural work, primordial customs, cultures, foods, rituals, beliefs, religions, landscapes, mountains and oceans… discovering and narrating pieces of the world is her great passion.

Irwin Wong Tokyo

Irwin Wong is a photographer based in Tokyo. He is passionate about documenting all aspects of the modern and traditional culture of Japan and is currently working on two books; one is about traditional craftsmanship and the other is about various Japanese subcultures.

Irwin shoots editorial and commercial for clients such as Car Design News, Chivas, Amazon, Forbes, Cathay Pacific, The Washington Post, Red Bull, Nike and the Times Magazine, amongst others.

His long-term goal with his photography is to highlight the beauty and culture of lesser known parts of Japan in order to encourage re-population of those areas.

Spotlight Awards Winner Kristofer Dan-Bergman New York

Kristofer Dan-Bergman is an award winning Swedish born and New York residing photographer. Born into a theatre family, taking pictures came early to him, but he never thought of it as a career until many years later.

His definitive professional transition came in New York when he took a darkroom course at ICP and developed his first photograph. It was love at first sight!

He started out working as a photojournalist and eventually ventured into commercial photography, where he has shot campaigns for the likes of Clarins (worldwide), AT&T, Tag Heuer and Kay Jewelers.

His personal work has evolved in the background, including documentary and fine art. He has exhibited at Fotografiska in Sweden and MOCADA Museum in Brooklyn, and has had many solo shows. Kristofer is part of the Permanent Collection at ICP in New York with one of his photographs.

In December, Kristofer will be represented at two Art Fairs in Miami. At Scope he will be showing his ‘allONE’ series and at Aqua he wil be showing two pieces from his ‘Away’ series.

Nicole Franco Los Angeles - Mexico City

Nicole Franco is an award-winning and internationally published documentary and commercial photographer. She is a California native who has spent the last six years based out of Central Mexico.

Nicole travels extensively to capture stories about the human condition, people, places, and all the moments in between. Currently, she is photographing issues surrounding water scarcity in Mexico.

“With careful intrusion, I photograph the beautiful and intimate anonymity of the human family. I document the narratives of lives found and embrace the responsibility to translate those stories I’ve been given.”

Peter Baiamonte New York

With his images, Peter Baiamonte tries to tell stories while transmitting a sense of deep meaning and revealing glimpses of unique places or special personalities.

Peter’s work includes many genres. He is passionate about sports, portraiture, travel, and landscapes. Although based in New York City, he works regularly with clients in both New York and Boston, and has easy access to the entirety of New England.

The work featured in this Spotlight is from adventures in Venice, Italy; Antarctica; and a road trip in the Scottish Highlands. Also included are shots from a job for the New York Road Runners club documenting the New York City Marathon, and set photography from Karen Allen’s debut as a film director.

Sebastian Bullinger Stuttgart

Sebastian Bullinger's passion for travel photography came through a seven-month overland journey from Germany to South Africa by car.

Besides his profession as a commercial photographer in Stuttgart/Germany, Sebastian developed skills in photographing landscape, people and cultures all around the world. Most of these projects were organised independently.

In 2013, he went to Nepal and documented the work of German NGO Brepal. Several expeditions in this diverse country brought him to publish a series of Nepal calendars. The third edition was released in 2018. The calendar won the international Gregor Calendar Award and has drawn positive attention to the NGO. He also worked on projects in China, Iran, Georgia, Borneo, Portugal and Latin America.
