Andy Grimshaw London

London-based photographer Andy Grimshaw specialises in food, drink and still life photography.

He works out of his own central London studio with fully equipped kitchen.

Chiara Ye was born in China and at the age of five she moved to Parma in Italy, a country well known for its rich artistic and cultural heritage.

In Parma she began studying art at high school, where she developed a passion for the visual arts, theatre and film. During her studies, Chiara attained a comprehensive knowledge of the arts as a whole, coupled with an innate creative and fresh eye, that was seen as totally unique in her field.

Once reunified with her origins in China, she had the opportunity to experience a board range of challenges, and opened herself up to embracing news food, style and culture. Corina Landa works for a wide range of food industry-related clients like advertising agencies, magazines and cookbook publishers. Dominic Episcopo Philadelphia

Growing up on the east coast as an Italian-American, Dominic Episcopo was born into a family that celebrated good food and great music, two things that would most influence and inspire his career.

Dominic emerged onto the photography scene and began cultivating his craft, capturing iconic musicians and celebrities. He soon gained international recognition as a pioneer of the food and lifestyle movement, unabashedly willing to push boundaries and “play with his food” as any good rock n’ roller would. Hollie Bertram is a food and product photographer based in Norwalk, CT, that can easily travel for projects. James Murphy London

The work featured in this Spotlight is from James’s collaboration with Rick Stein for his book ‘Rick Stein’s Secret France’, published by BBC Books. Travelling through rural France, from Normandy to Provence, it showcases delicious recipes with wonderful ingredients. A true gastronomic feast, bringing together reinvigorated traditional French dishes and crafting delicious new ones as well. A project which James really enjoyed working on.

Jean Cazals London

For this Spotlight, award-winning photographer Jean Cazals has compiled strong graphic images reflecting his approach on some of his latest jobs. Jean has the ability to actually "see", along with a unique style. His concept and approach are really appreciated by his clients, especially the new ones. His field of work is in hospitality with restaurants, hotels and brands. He is always happy to discuss details and projects in advanced to be able to deliver the best, whatever the size of the job.

With this COVID-19 and confinement time, Jean has the possibility to still offer full services: retouching, styling and working remotely (zoom, WeTransfer) from his home studio with props and especially a partner who is a food stylist, Marie-Ange Lapierre.

Jean has also been pushing for more interiors, as he finds it goes hand in hand with food and life style. Hospitality and food photography are all about essence and the spirit of a place.

Joe Pellegrini Chicago

One rarely goes a day without seeing Chicago photographer Joe Pellegrini’s work in store windows, magazines, catalogues, cookbooks or cereal boxes.

For over two decades, Joe has been an industry leader in product and food photography. Also an accomplished painter, he has brought his artistic sensibilities to national campaigns for Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Kellogg's, Tyson and Ziploc and for the past 11 years has shot virtually all of Subway’s national and international print and outdoor ads as well their in-store displays.

Unflappable, Joe has made a career delivering memorable imagery with the utmost professionalism for products ranging from Scrubbing Bubbles to Jim Beam.

Shoot days find his studio abuzz with clients snacking on mini candy bars while Joe and his group of top food stylists, special FX and digital technicians descend on every shot with a practiced efficiency and provide proven success.

Johan Visschedijk Amsterdam

Johan Visschedijk started working in the early nineties, loving food and everything along with it, he also started working in film  a few years ago.

In a nutshell we can say that Johan is a guy who is really passionate about everything he does; photography, film, CGI and his big hobby ultra-running. So we can truly say that Johan is not a quitter.

When Johan says yes to a project he is very eager to get it to a high level, no matter what it takes. Once the financial issues are agreed, Johan is lost in creativity, light, composition and everything else. 

Last year he was asked to shoot for a book about 35 Michelin star restaurants, some of the results you can see here. One of these restaurants asked him to make some wall decoration involving game dishes.

Karen Thomas London

Karen’s love of food is clear to see in her still and motion work. She has spent the last 20 years passionately capturing food at its best and in the last few years she has also enjoyed directing impressive motion work too.

This Spotlight feature begins with some exciting new tests that were shot in collaboration with food stylist Katie Giovanni and prop stylist Alexander Breeze. They luckily managed to squeeze a day in the studio together just before lockdown and had a fantastic time shooting lots of different seafood dishes.

Following on from these images are shots for M&S (Meal in a Bag, Gastro packaging), Birds Eye (Green Cuisine, plant-based Swedish style meatballs) and lastly an advert for Carnation for Tesco that Karen had fun shooting on location in Kentish Town.

Now during the lockdown, Karen is keeping herself busy working on personal projects whilst also working on logistics for some upcoming shoots with skeletal teams that will take place once the restrictions have relaxed.

Luca Rosati Italy

Tuscan-born Luca Rosati lives in the countryside of San Gimignano and specialises in food, advertising and still life photography for editorial and commercial projects.

Luca's clients include renowned restaurants as well as traditional establishments. In addition to photography, he has worked as a chef in different restaurants and hotels both in Italy and the United States.

He works with a variety of creative marketing and design agencies, online food magazines and books. Inspired by colours and shapes, Luca loves creative photography and is available worldwide.

Roberto Luzzitelli and Laura Danieli is a photography duo based in Turin, Italy specialised in food and drink photography.

Scott Grummett London

Food photographer and film director Scott Grummett aims to whet the appetite. Best known for his mouthwatering images of burgers, Scott can turn any food or drink into the object of a stomach's desire.

His stills are graphic and textural, with delicately placed drips and smears, while Scott's directing work favors close up, slow motion beauty tinted with performance and comedy.

Tony Briscoe London

Tony is a London-based photographer specialising in food and drink. He shoots from his own London studio or on location.

Tony’s years of experience has led him to work with many leading agencies, food companies and publishers. His most recent commissions include the summer campaign for Costa, a European campaign for Nestle’s plant-based Garden Gourmet and Belazu’s range of pesto.

Warren has been working in advertising and commercial photography for over 30 years. His wealth of experience now serves him well in the field of beverage photography which he has been specialising in for over ten years, shooting campaigns for numerous international brands and agencies.

He is equally at home working from his central London studio, or out on location and combines his creative lighting techniques with his knowledge of post production to plan complex shoots from start to finish.
