Daniel Kellenberger's story started in Hong Kong in 1980, where his parents from Appenzell were stationed — a childhood between two very different worlds. After his Matura, he headed to Scotland to study film at the Edinburgh College of Art. While he started out wanting to direct, he quickly realised his true obsession was the camera and the power of a perfectly composed shot.
Back in Switzerland, he worked as a cameraman and editor before photography won him over. He loved that a single image let him be author, director, and lighting designer all at once. Going freelance in 2006, he spent years shooting for major Swiss newspapers and magazines.
After 12 years co-managing a studio, he returned to solo work in 2022. Today, from his studio in Stäfa, he focuses on cinematic portraits of actors, artists, and athletes, as well as landscape and architecture — work that recently earned him a place among Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Photographers worldwide.
Jack Margerison is a London-based commercial advertising photographer creating cinematic, human-led work for brands and agencies. With over a decade of experience, he is known for crafting compelling visual narratives that balance strong production values with character, story and a natural sense of authenticity.
His approach is collaborative and considered, focused on building ideas that feel thoughtful rather than overworked. This has made him a trusted creative partner for global brands including United Airlines, Turkish Airlines, The Premier League, Barclays and Asics.
Jack’s work often combines still photography with CGI environments, most recently through major advertising projects developed in collaboration with Darwin Studio and leading production agencies. Alongside his commercial practice, he also continues to pursue personal projects, including a documentary on Woottens Boatyard, celebrating generations of craftsmanship on the River Thames.
Equally confident in studio settings and on location, Jack brings a cinematic sensibility and strong storytelling instinct to every project.

Whether photographing a beautifully plated dish, a dynamic portrait, or the inviting atmosphere of a hospitality space, Michael’s keen attention to detail ensures every image is visually striking and emotionally engaging.
Collaborating with both hotels and restaurants in Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina, Michael creates captivating seasonal menu photoshoots that showcase the restaurant’s focus on fresh, local ingredients.
His deeply collaborative approach extends beyond food photography—working closely with chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals, he brings their vision to life through carefully crafted images highlighting textures, colors, and ambiance. Michael’s expertise in lighting, composition, and storytelling allows him to seamlessly transition between architecture, lifestyle, food, and portrait photography, capturing authentic moments that resonate.
By balancing technical skill with artistic vision, his work strengthens the connection between brands and their audiences, elevating the visual identity of restaurants, hotels, and creative professionals alike.
“When I approach a portrait session, I believe in the preeminence of authenticity and specificity. There are no square pegs or round holes, only unique form, gesture and expressiveness. Sensitivity to those temporal and fluid characteristics is the lion’s share of my work on an environmental portrait assignment.
My objective for any portraiture is the marriage of the subject and environment. Integration is the yeast in that marriage because I never just leave leftover space or a banal background beyond my person subjects. In my environmental portrait work, environment gives shape to the human subject as human subject gives shape to the environment. It’s a three dimensional compositional puzzle that is enhanced by colour, light and most importantly… gesture. Gesture is the intangible and unpredictable signature in the shape and movement of the places and people that I look to capture.
The process creates a compelling portrait that asks questions of the viewer and engages their attention on a deep level. Authentic and well chosen faces, figures and settings are what stimulate interest in commercial brands. I add value as a photographer by bringing all these essential elements together for my clients.”
