Carl Lyttle Rep. by JSR London

Most of Carl Lyttle's work takes him on location around the world, chasing the light and landscapes that his global commissions require. His work is mainly in the automotive arena for clients such as Nissan, General Motors, Subaru and Mercedes, to name but a few.

The majority of Carl's work is commissioned from agencies around the world. Through his own production company he can deliver modern production values that give him total control to capture global image assets and post produce projects with his dedicated and highly skilled team in London, working hand-in-hand with agencies wherever they are located.

Christian Lohfink Hamburg

Christian Lohfink is a high-quality photographer with many years of experience. He works professionally for magazines, agencies and clients who focus on still life and automotive photography.

In his car photography he is especially adapted in 'Old-timer' and 'Young-timer'.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, Christian has been working as a freelance photographer since 1991. Clients include Audi Magazine, Europcar, Shell, Castrol, Die Bahn, Esso, Minolta, Mobile.de and Siemens.

He is represented by PAM-Mirjam Böhm in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Deniz Saylan Stuttgart - London

International people, car and fashion photographer Deniz Saylan is based in London and Stuttgart. He was recently awarded the Merit Award 2012 from BFF (The German Association of Freelance Photographers), as well as the AIAP Chosen Photographer 2012 for a fashion editorial shot in Marrakech.

Shooting for major clients, Deniz recently photographed new key visuals for Bechstein's new image brochure, campaign motifs for Alpirsbacher Beer, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Infiniti Cars and AOK Insurance, among others.

Dirk Krüll Dusseldorf

Dirk Kruell shot the 2013 calendar for Standox, entitled 'Cars and Culture'. The central theme was to show 13 icons of automobile history embedded in their original eras, characterised by art, design and cultural highlights from the period.

Dirk is delighted to have received first prize in the 2012 IPA's Lucy Award in the category 'Automobile Advertisement' with his latest calendar project 'Timeless Beauties. He also received two honourable mentions: another calendar project 'Colour Fantasies' (see April's Spotlight) and in architecture with 'Muengsten bridge'.

One of his most recent projects is to capture the enormous car collection of a one of Germany's largest and best known corporations for museum and book-publishing purposes.

Frans Nygaard Photography Oslo

Frans Nygaard is a car and fashion photographer, based in Oslo, Norway. Among his latest work are static location shots for Skoda and Subaru, as well as a motion rig winter shot for Mercedes captured in the Norwegian mountains.

The motion rig used to photograph the Mercedes Vito was developed in-house, and gives Frans the possibility to offer clients more creative freedom, as it can easily be modified to meet specific requests.

Frans is known for his ability to handle the technical challenges of automotive photography, as well as the creative and aesthetic aspects of fashion. The mix of these two totally different forms of photography gives his pictures a distinct look and feel across both genres.

Gaby Luque Mexico City

Gaby Luque was born in Mexico City and studied photography at the Escuela Activa de Fotografia, in addition to following an intensive course on digital photography at the Tec de Monterrey. After finishing her studies, she began working as a freelance photographer.

With over 10 years experience, Gaby has developed in the field of advertising photography, specialising in cars, exterior and interior architecture as well as food and drinks. Gaby has found her true passion, something that has led her to seek new techniques to offer a different product and an alternative to the commonplace.

Hardesh Dhingra New Delhi

It has been a long journey from lens-man to artist for Hardesh Dhingra, with more than two decades of pushing the barriers. Renowned for digital photography and image manipulation, the company's dream project, a new 15,000 sq.ft. studio in Manesar, is now complete.

From the fully equipped studio, Hardesh Dhingra can handle any project, from small still life set-ups to large automobile SUVs. Harniman & AIR-CGI are unusual in the field of image production, successfully combining the benefit of a wealth of photographic knowledge built over many years of international advertising photography with cutting-edge CGI.

Manufacturers internationally have for many years called on Harniman for their most important new worldwide model launch images  - the Continental GT launch for Bentley, the XF launch for Jaguar, Chrysler 300 in USA and subsequently Europe, to name a few. This naturally developed into the CGI route of image production in both stills and animation and as the creative force behind AIR-CGI. Jörk Hettmann Dusseldorf

Drawing on his years of experience and with a passion for the finer details, Jörk Hettmann has been photographing transportation in his studio located south of Dusseldorf since 1990.

Many renowned advertising companies have shot advertising materials, brochures and billboards at the 400 m² facility, which features a fully equipped studio and extensive lighting equipment, a luxuriant stock of props and everything necessary for all types of successful car photography and corresponding special effects.

Additionally, the studio is optimally equipped for outdoor photography. All the necessary equipment is on hand, from high-end portable computer systems to electric generators. The studio equipment was also recently expanded to include film gear and film editing facilities. 

An extensive photo archive supplements the studio's services, as well as in-house post production that covers all areas of electronic image processing, from simple retouching to ready-to-print approved compositions.

Julian Calverley is a landscape and advertising photographer.

Studio Manu Agah Hamburg

Manu Agah is a Germany-based photographer who works worldwide.

After many years of experience in people and car photography, CGI and 3D has become an important part of his work.

Manu loves to create pictures that are a mixture of live capture and CGI, such as his recent work with Aston Martin in San Francisco.

Manu also works for the truck industry as both a classic and CGI photographer.

Graduating Full Sail University in 2009, Mike Cutler has been a multifaceted talent in the industry. A photographer, film-maker, and editor, he has worked for many clients in his area and wants to expand his client base even further.

NotBland Automotive Photography New Orleans - Los Angeles

Raised with a camera in his hands, Webb Bland has been drawn to photography since childhood. Shooting professionally since 2007, Webb devotes his career exclusively to the automotive industry. Splitting his time between his hometown of New Orleans and Los Angeles, he specialises in a unique location-centric stylised form of photography.

Of recent significance, Webb’s body of work includes the press release photography for the world unveiling of the 2013 Viper GTS. Besides SRT, his notable commercial clients include Dodge, Chrysler and Fiat. As a regular contributing photographer, Webb's work has earned multiple cover features in the esteemed BBC Top Gear Magazine. With great professional pride and an undying passion for pushing the limits of creative post production, he is capable in handling all of his clients’ project requirements.

Paul J Harvey London - Paris

Specialising in car, landscape and 3D photography, Paul J Harvey has been working within the automotive advertising industry for over 20 years.

Recently commissioned by Peugeot for a photo shoot in Turkey and Romania, the CGI postproduction for the campaign was completed in Paris. Paul also directed the work until its final conclusion.

A summer personal project has been completed focusing on cities in the Orient aptly named Metropolis.

Internationally nominated personal works are regularly exhibited at galleries in both London and Paris.

Peter Otto London

The economy in China is still growing amazingly fast and so is the demand for high quality advertising pictures. Local car brands are competing with foreign companies in an effort to conquer the new market. 

In the hope of securing good future collaborations, Peter Otto has just completed his first jobs for McCann Worldgroup and Mindshare. This includes on-location shoots, compositions, as well as pure studio work all shot in or around Shanghai this year.

Romerphotography Dusseldorf - Queenstown (New Zealand)

After last year's successful 25-day shoot and the follow-up campaign for the Porsche Carrera 911 in Croatia, Stephan Romer and his team came back to New Zealand to shoot the new 911 C4 models.

Four cars in four seasons was the challenge, again brilliantly supported by the NZ-based Lighthouse Productions. Italy, VAE and Shanghai were part of this amazing project.

With London-based Circle Media, Stephan realised motifs for Nissan that were just published at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Background plates were shot in New Zealand, the USA, Spain and South Africa and combined with British CGI skill.

Sean Klingelhoefer Photography Los Angeles

As a fanatical lover of the automobile, there is no wonder why photographer Sean Klingelhoefer calls the world’s car epicenter - Los Angeles - his home. When he’s not stuck in traffic on the Hollywood freeway he can be found travelling the globe shooting interesting cars in beautiful locations. 

Once an automobile mechanic, Sean's technical knowledge and appreciation of the car heavily informs his work, quickly separating him from other photographers who merely happen to shoot cars.  

Furthermore, his undying passion has led to a solid body of work sharing a singular vision by which personal series seamlessly overlap into his commissions for clients such as Toyota, Cadillac, Motor Trend and Racer. Whether he’s shooting with an iPhone or a Hasselblad, he’s shooting because it’s what he loves doing.

Having just moved to Frankfurt, photographer Thomas von Salomon still found time to shoot a range of new work:

  • Ads for Honda, published by Publicis, shot on-location in Spain. Post production by 6mal7.
  • A series of three Porsche Panamera using full CGI in cooperation with Mainworks Munich (CGI) and DELTAE Munich (post production).
  • Classic Opel racecars shot from top to bottom. The entire series showcasing 15 unique automobiles will be exhibited at the soon to open Galerie F8 in Frankfurt at the end of the year.
