As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations last year, Nescafe sponsored the “50 Minutes” project, in which Amenábar, Berlanga, Medem, Bigas Luna and Gonzalo Suarez mentored five new directors.
For this year's edition,
Barcelona's casting specialists La Ponderosa recently did the
casting for one of the short films “Ace of Hearts” which will be directed by Silvia
Gonzalez and is being made through production company Miss Wasabi Films.
Shooting takes place on 11-12 March and the film is being
mentored by Isabel Coixet who, as we reported last month,
won Best Director, Best Film and Best Original Script at the Goya
Awards.
