For over three decades, Cape Town Productions has been the heartbeat of stills and motion production in South Africa, where creativity meets precision and every shoot feels like an adventure.

Founded in 1988 by Gavin and Denise Levy, their team brings stories to life through world-class photographic and commercial productions. From casting the perfect face to finding that impossible-to-believe location, they handle every detail with calm efficiency and a touch of flair.

Cape Town Productions launched the first part of season 37 with a bang, welcoming loyal clients and exciting new collaborations.

Adidas brought its Terrex campaign to Cape Town, photographed by Robbie Lawrence and featuring top trail athletes. Russel & Bromley shot a standout campaign here, captured by local talent: Aart Verrips, Michael Oliver Love, Dillon Buirski, and Jamie O’Brien.

Intersport’s TVC and stills, produced with Attitude Agency, were shot by Richard Johnson and filmed by Robin Shepard Taylor. The season wouldn’t be complete without The Production Factory and their stellar team. American Express was a highlight, along with a stunning VW campaign led by Frithjof Ohm and Matthias Pretsch. The team also partnered with Augusto for an inspiring Adidas campaign, 'Movement for The People'.

"Snow in the Mother City …. Yes!  Thanks to the latest Adidas Holiday campaign, we brought snow to the city.  This was the start of a most rejuvenating season in Cape Town with some magnificent projects completed, on the go, or still to hit our shores.

"The team at Cape Town Productions normally uses the winter months to relax, take stock of the season that was, and prepare for the season ahead. This was not to be in 2016, as our wonderful clients took advantage of a very mild winter and a weak Rand to produce throughout the off season.

We are in fact still in the middle of an exciting shoot with Markus Wendler, who is experiencing his first visit to Cape Town. Many thanks to Marc Trautmann, Yona Heckl and Tom Mennemann for trusting us with their projects. It was also a pleasure to work with Caspar Davies again for a great Ford project. Gavin is about to leave for Europe - let him know if you are keen to meet and he will make himself available."
