With more than 25 years’ experience in food & drink photography, Alan has worked in all areas of the industry - advertising, editorial and product design.

He has shot extensively for brand packaging and his images can be seen on leading brands throughout the UK, Europe and the US.

London-based food and drink photographer Alan Newnham shoots for a number of high profile brands.

Recent work includes Uncle Ben’s, both for the US and UK, Heinz, Seeds Of Change, Cow & Gate, BirdsEye and a range of ice cream-filled mochi balls for Little Moons.

In this Spotlight, Alan has put together a series of images shot for a recent book project. He has also included a short film made last year shooting a hearty plate of sausage and mash.

Following on from the success of last year's exhibition ‘Patina’, a new series by Alan Newnham will be available at The Hogarth Gallery from 15th March for eight weeks.

From 7-16 November, Pearlfisher’s gallery space will become home to the exhibition of an exquisite personal collection by renowned photographer Alan Newnham.

A fork is an intimate object. We interact with it in a unique way, everyday and without thinking. Alan Newnham’s personal work considers this relationship as the central theme in this exhibition. He looks at these objects of utility and puts them in a place where they can be admired for their beauty. Frames that were originally crafted with skill and now refashioned complete the artwork, acknowledging the beauty of utility and the patina of age.

This Showcase is focused on a series of sandwich recipes photographed, illustrated and sent out as a monthly food blog. The examples featured here are for the six-month period from March to August this year.

The food images are photographed by Alan Newnham and can be seen along with his other work on his website. The image is then worked on with typography and illustration by Marj Newnham, creating this unique series. The finished work can be seen on her website along with Marj's other projects.
