Surreal. Rodney Smith: first exhibition of the American photographer in Mexico. The black and white shots and elegant compositions will take attendees to a surreal, pure, and sublime world by one of the most iconic New York photographers of the 20th century.

The MX Street Photo Fest is a month-long celebration of street photography in Querétaro, Mexico, featuring international exhibitions, photowalks, workshops, critiques, and a global photo competition judged by a renowned international jury.

The Santiago International Film Festival (SANFIC) returns for its 21st edition from 17 to 24 August in Santiago, Chile, showcasing a diverse selection of Chilean and international films through competitions, panels, industry events, and educational programmes.

Centro Cultural La Moneda presents the exhibition 'An Expanded Gaze: Rodrigo Rojas de Negri Award', which brings together the work of 10 renowned Chilean photographers, all recipients of the Rodrigo Rojas de Negri Award between 2007 and 2017.

Patricia Conde Gallery presents Crecí a la sombra de los árboles, an exhibition of recent works by photographer Cristina Kahlo. Born in Mexico City, Kahlo has spent the past four years creating a deeply personal series centered around trees.

Our featured editorial was captured by photographer Andrés Martí. The subjects of the portraits are people deprived of their freedom: eight of the 124,590 individuals who are in various penitentiary centers in Colombia. The series is called 'Reverdecer' (To Turn Green Again) and is a reflection on the concept of waiting as a cathartic process.

The Santiago International Film Festival (SANFIC) will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, during which it has established itself as a benchmark for the international film industry and a showcase for Chilean creators and directors. From 18th to 25th August.

Genealogies and Dissidences represents a new phase where the collections of Mexico's MUAC occupy a dedicated section of the building. This phase features simultaneous exhibitions of various cores, which will be periodically renewed. These cores can be historical explorations, the presentation of a large-scale installation or essayistic groupings.
