"This is the sickest photograph of me that I have ever found!“

This citation from a song by the band 'Painted Thin', is an inspiration to award-winning people photographer, Per Schorn. Based in Frankfurt a.M., he grew up in the punk rock scene of the late 90s, and likes to start an idea for a story through his photographs that will live on in the mind of the viewer.

His unique story-telling and feel for lighting is complemented by the expert team he assembes for every shoot. Assistants, producers, make-up artists, stylists - whoever is necessary for the perfect picture, everyone works hand-in-hand to create a beautiful image.

When Per is not working for clients he does personal work and teaches at university. He can also be found at concerts, where he regularly photographs bands in his self-built photo booth.

Theresia Pistel is a freelance make-up artist and hairstylist with over 15 years of experience. Her work focuses on beauty, commercial, fashion and advertising and she works for well-known companies and magazines throughout Germany as well as internationally. Theresia also runs The MUP, her own make-up agency.

Known for her perfection in creating flawless make-up and perfect hair, her calm personality and great understanding for clients' needs ensure that everybody is happy at the end of a day.

Founded in 1996, Castin is a Frankfurt-based casting agency that has grown into an all-inclusive casting service with an index of some 2,500 models. Thanks to many years of experience, advertising, film and photography clients consistently rely on a type-specific cast of characters.

In August 2017, Castin moved to a new office in Oberrad, Frankfurt. The new workspace includes a great studio for all castings and many new experiences. The studio is also available for rent and offers many options for shoots, recordings and workshops.

Furthermore, Castin's new website is now online with a new CI and new design. The administrative system and the model-search is currently in progress, but will also be online as soon as possible.

The company offers make-up artists and stylists and can provide additional casting direction, including live, video and street casting as well as organisation and coordination.

Since 1994, Frank Weinert has worked as a commercial photographer in Frankfurt am Main. Although his early focus was on classical still life photography, his innate love for cooking and eating started to become more present throughout his career and merged with his experience as a photographer.

Together with a team of international food stylists, stylists and set builders, he manages to relate single components extraordinarily and creates a unique atmosphere in his work. Frank´s passion for food photography and the successful cooperation with his team always motivates him to go beyond, searching for something new.

Westside Studios Frankfurt is located in a commercial belt of West Frankfurt, yet still provides a view to green, German wilderness. The studio is located just 15 minutes from the city centre and 10 minutes from Rhein-Main Airport, showing how Frankfurt is international, financial and colourful but not extremely large!

The studio offers a cyclorama measuring 22 metres long and 5 metres high, with sides, ceiling and floor measuring 11m x 12m. In the seating area clients will find a concrete wall and a dark stone floor, often used for shoots. In total, the studio measures 300m², with a drive-in entrance of 2.40m.

There is an atmospheric kitchen and chill-out-area, a stylish make-up and dressing room, a rooftop winter garden and a pond with frogs, goldfish, dragonflies and numerous birds.

The studio has recently welcomed clients across cinema, TV, video, music, interviews, advertisement, fashion, cosmetics and car productions and is now looking for further adventures and challenges.

For Hyundai, the pair recently staged the all new compact SUV Kona Electric in CGI. Backplates and HDR-Domes were shot in Frankfurt and Lisbon, and completed with material from their huge CGI archive. In CGI, they were supported by NPIXO, who also took care of post-production. They thank Jörn, Arthur, Igor, Jojo and Alex for their great 3D and 2D work!

Just a few weeks prior to this, the creative-duo went to sunny Turin in Italy to shoot the new Audi Q2 in powerful 'Korallorange' for a portfolio spread. For post-production they trusted the team at Wagnerchic in Stuttgart, who gave the spread not only the last cut but also the perfect look.

MOTIONCTRL is a creative film production company based near Frankfurt. Specialising in commercial, automotive and action sports films, in-house services cover the whole production cycle of concept, production and post-production.

Barbecue is the personal design studio of creative director Rüdiger Chmielus. From being an editing freelancer since 1994, he has developed and honed his skills in motion graphics and high end commercial post-production.

Having been formerly involved with post-production companies, Rüdiger decided to start his own independent studio to create abstract designs and surreal worlds, giving room for creative experiments and excellent work.

Coming from Germany, much of his work centres around cars, with a range of clients including Audi, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Porsche, Seat, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Although there is a lot of post-production work involved in the daily business, Barbecue cannot be compared to or seen as a classic post-production company. For Rüdiger, it is very important that he oversees and supervises each project to guarantee quality and style. Barbecue therefore has its own mantra: "We don’t do annoying rubbish!"
