To deliver its new campaign, shot in Buenos Aires, Nike with Wiedden + Kennedy commissioned one of the best new production companies, Red Creek Productions, and advertising artists, Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones.

Warren and Nick's work has been commissioned in the past by clients such as Hermés, Issey Miyake and Cartier and their collaborations with Björk and Massive Attack are considered legendary.

Red Creek has also recently completed jobs for Kenzo, Nokia, Nextel, Orange, Diesel among other advertising and fashion clients.

Project Argentina is a full-service photo and film production company specialising in shoots in Argentina and Latin America.

This is a joint venture between New York photo producers Work Production Company and Mondo, the Argentinian TV and film production house.

Its aim is to bring New York quality photo production standards to shoots in Latin America "at nearly one third the cost."

Specialising in "the piggyback", it offers one production source in Latin America for the simultaneous shooting of TV and photo campaigns, thus ensuring smooth workflow and flawless communication.

Recent campaigns: Samsung, IBM, Lucky, Veet, American Express Centurion, Harpers Bazaar.

Recently created, Paraíso Cine launched with a team that has plenty of experience in cinema and advertising.

Victor Wolf was born in Uruguay, worked in France and is currently based in Argentina.

He works with advertising agencies and fashion magazines, specialising in beauty and portraits.

From his Buenos Aires studio and out at different locations, he uses natural and artificial light to create the kind of lighting that recalls his experience in cinema.

Although he still works with film and medium-format cameras, Victor says that he also feels completely at home working with digital.

Based in Buenos Aires, photographer Malala Fontan works with digital and conventional photography for editorial and commercial uses.

She says her aim is "always to invent the iconic shot - an exquisite homage to Buenos Aires' Belle Epoque, a melancholic feeling mixed with intoxicating images from the city that never sleeps' most important architectural pieces..."

Malala's most recent photographic series is a set of portraits of chic, local celebrity Celeste Cid as a young Evita in a clean print of a classic French film noir.

She is available for travel and private commissions.

Juan Vaz Duarte works in Argentina and other countries.

He specialises in fashion and beauty, and works in digital- and film-based media.

Clients are Elle, Catalogue, First, Para Ti, and Cosmopolitan, among others.

Adrian Markis is a photographer from Buenos Aires specialising in postproduction and digital art.

He is currently working on a personal project entitled "Invasión en Buenos Aires", where he combines shots of animals with Buenos Aires cityscapes. The story is based around the concept of giant animals invading a large city that has been abandoned by humans.

The shots are currently being taken and the first photos can be seen soon, with the project finished around the middle of May.

Antonella Arismendi's creativity and cutting edge style is known to produce striking images with a sleek sense of aesthetics, composition and colour.

She has recently done work for several well-known clients and magazines associated with the fashion and advertising industry, including FTV and DMode Magazine.

Antonella Arismendi is based in Buenos Aires.

Ines Garcia Baltar specialises in fashion and beauty photography.

She has also worked for various different advertising agencies and is a regular collaborator for most magazines in Buenos Aires including FTVmag, Para Ti, Catalogue and D-mode.

Virginia lives in Buenos Aires, and works with some of the world's most renowned magazines Interiors, AD, Elle, Amica, Residence and Vogue.

Following her success with Grandes Mujeres, Gaby Messina presents her new work, Almas Gemelas (Twin Souls), a series of portraits of twin brothers and sisters of all ages.

The artist, mother of two-year-old twins, was motivated to discover and understand more about this intense and profound relationship. She presents images that were snatched from a magical reality where the careful choice of colour and lighting, and the settings, help to compose stories with great visual and emotional impact.

The search for individuality; upbringing and education; the physical similarity and differences perceived throughout their lives; the almost complete lack of sense of aloneness; your best friend living at home; communication without words; operating in society; relationships with partners, parents and children ... these are some of the concepts that Gaby shares with us and invites us to reflect upon.

Almas Gemelas is at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires from 3 May until 27 May.
