Alex Wallace New Zealand

"Let's keep this short and get straight to the point; I’m a photographer, not a poet. My images will have far more impact than my words.

While I could wax lyrical and entertain you with a flowery descriptions of my life and work ethic, your precious time would be far better spent looking at my photographs.

Andrea Rugg Minneapolis

Andrea Rugg is an architectural photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She photographs buildings and structures, both commercial and residential, interiors and exteriors, landscape and landscape architecture and public works projects.

"Having been born in Germany, because my father worked for the state department, then moving to the Midwest, I became enamored of travel and new places. We traveled quite a bit as a family since my father would often take the family along when he taught summer school or did research.

I have always been fascinated by houses and structures. When I was young, my brother and I would get up early in the morning and spend hours drawing up house plans and building Lego houses. He would later become an architect but my interests turned toward art and photography so being an architectural photographer feels like the perfect balance of my interests. I am also an avid gardener and I love photographing gardens and landscape architecture."

Ben Gancsos New England

"As we slowly get ready for the New England winter at Ben Gancsos Studio, it’s nice to reminisce about our recent summer projects.

Net Zero building is alive and well in the Northeast, and Ben had the pleasure of photographing several projects in this category.

Private residence projects for C&H Architects, Cummings Architecture + Interiors, Lassel Architects, Greenspur, and Group Design Build kept us busy.

Ben even photographed some wonderful interior spaces a the Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding guest quarters. Many of these projects involved aerial drone photos, and fly we did, from the ocean and into the sunset."

Julie Renouf Europe - Australasia

"There are many defining moments in my career as a photographer and director. The most prominent: an inspired Christmas gift, a Hanimex Box Brownie at the age of seven; a gifted art teacher in high school who taught me to experiment and explore beyond what the textbooks taught, and that ‘mistakes’ can take you to somewhere way beyond imagining; a tertiary education in photography that taught me the rules and then insisted I break them; countless shoots where I learned to trust my intuition whilst being supported by my training. These countless projects now are the backbone of my creative and professional experience.

I’m an international award-winning photographer and director specialising in interiors, food and lifestyle, and brands focused to the female consumer. With 20+ years experience in Australian and now based in Europe, my work spans a wide range of advertising campaigns, editorial, branded motion content, food films and TVC. My aesthetic is beautiful light, emotive, and unashamedly feminine.

On set I work closely with clients: collaboration, a positive attitude, and a shared enthusiasm for evocative visuals are the most effective way to create beautiful, authentic stories worth sharing with the world."

As you can see from my work, I do extensive use of artificial lighting that, in dialogue with the available light, allow me to depict spaces and constructions at their best.

I am into the “production” of images rather than post-production; accuracy in the planning is essential to me. Unless impossible, I need to see in advance the object, space or structure to photograph, so that I can define the right visual approach."

Misha Bruk Photography California

"I had no idea I was going to fall in love with photography when I chose a major in architecture, but fall in love I did, during my very last semester at UC Berkeley.

I first became fascinated with photography as a child, back in Moscow, Soviet Union, when my dad would transform our tiny bathroom into a darkroom. In the eerie glow of a red bulb, I watched incomprehensible negative images magically emerge as familiar faces in the developer tray.

I am grateful for my education in architecture and design as it gives me a keen insight into the design process, spacial relationships and flow, and a common language with clients in the design community.

Over the past 35 years, I have been very fortunate to collaborate and forge lasting relationships with numerous architectural, interior design, and construction firms, as well as retail clients such as Target and Neiman Marcus."

From ancient mummies to machine guns, and from cherished landmarks to unforgettable escapades (like that memorable incident in the heart of a blast freezer), Steve's quest for innovative approaches to capture his subjects has been an enduring and impassioned pursuit.
