"For International Women's Day, here are a few of my strongest women portraits that I got to know thanks to my photography.

Angelina Jolie for Cinema for Peace; Yoko Ono's portrait which will now be shown in March at a women's photographers exhibition 'Female View' in the Kunsthalle St. Annen; Sarah Wiener for her bio farm; entrepreneur Judith Dommermut for GG, the high-gloss magazine by Engel & Völkers for the March 2022 issue; Laura M Seiler for the spiritual campaign for Vegan, that offers a huge toolbox for self discovery; Nina Hagen with her opera-trained voice and UFO connections; Sophia Thomalla, who always does what she wants; Amelie for the "We celebrate the women" campaign for Appelrath&Cüpper, and Manuela Schwesig, the popular SPD politician.

The world would be a better place if women were in power...power wouldn't be power but togetherness and unity."

"WE celebrate the women" was the motto of the campaign for AppelrathCüpper to have their real employees photographed by GABO (Agency: Trading up). These shots showed real and sexy women with masks and fake fur.

The actors Lara Joy Körner and Mereym Uzerili, spent a playful time with GABO and her camera in Gabo's Studio near Berlin and had many great moments.

For the new Barbara cover for October, which Gabo also shot in her studio, everything was about sex and there was a lot to laugh about, but what else can you expect when Barbara Schöneberger is around?

But men like the members of Saltatio Mortis, the metal band, had no less fun yelling at GABO for their new album with Universal.

Gabo's inimitable style is life-affirming, expressive, humorous and always close. She takes pictures of all kinds of humans, including famous international characters from politics, sports, music, film and television.

Most important for Gabo is transporting soul and truth in her pictures. Gabo also loves to work as a film and video director, mixing pictures with speech and music.

Her latest project was a portrait shooting of Barbara Schoeneberger for Barbara Magazine. When these two power women met on set, there was a lot of laughing, dreaming, eating and everything sparkled. It was all about jewellery, beauty, food and a portrait of a woman who couldn't be stopped! Even at five degrees in the freezing cold outside, Barbara went into the water at Lake Studios without batting an eyelid.
