Cameron Studio
Amsterdam
"2018 is here, and two of our clients, Dekamarkt and Dirk van den Broek, wanted fresh new images for their in-store January magazines. Winter food and yet light recepices, set in a light and crisp setting."
Food photography and still life are two of Cameron Studio's main specialties, with Pim Janswaard and Lieke Heijn - both photographers - working predominantly from their Wormer-based studio, only 15 minutes from Amsterdam.
For more then 20 years the pair have been working for many commercial and editorial clients, producing best-selling books, magazines and productions. In addition, they also shoot portraits, lifestyle and stills for all the leading magazines in the Netherlands.
Latest work includes the book 'Bella Italia' by Dutch author Sonja Bakker, which has topped the best-seller lists for weeks.

Cameron Studio
Amsterdam
From early September until the end of November, Cameron Studio is in the Christmas spirit. Pre-production meetings with clients, briefings with the photo-teams, searching for the right props and accessories. Only then do the team begin shooting the Christmas breakfasts, lunches and dinners for the upcoming festivities.
In close collaboration with the design department and photo teams, the studio helps find the right look and feel for the new Christmas campaigns. For clients such as Heerlijk and Heerlijk, Dekamarkt and Dirk van den Broek, most of the images they shoot are recepies for food magazines and advertising.
The studio, located in Wormer, close to Amsterdam, is the perfect place for this kind of photo shoot. With a vast collection of crockery and other accessories in the prop room, stylists will always find something to complete the picture to make it feel more like Christmas.
The cooks who work on the recepies are well equiped in the professional kitchen next to the studio floor. And when everyone is still enjoying the last days of summer, at Cameron Studio the tree is already decorated! Golden cutlery and crystal glasses find their way to the set and rare seasonal ingredients come from specialised grocery stores and butchers.

Tobias Reymond Foto | Film
Amsterdam
"In this Spotlight, Tobias Reymond Foto | Film shares some of its latest studio-based work, as well developments in moving content. Autumn has arrived, and therefore we show some dark and exciting images. Really fresh colourful fruit in dark atmospheric lighting makes the images interesting, and great for packaging!
In addition, we had the honour of shooting the evolution of Heineken bottles for the Heineken Experience. The oldest bottles date back to 1900, and are usually shown in the Heineken museum, Amsterdam.
With social media and moving billboards coming up, we focus more on moving content. For this reason we’ve invested in a serious motion control rig, thus we're now able to realize repeatable and subtle movements. This allows for cost-sensitive productions and tag-ons. We shot a 25” TVC for Samsung kitchen appliances, all 16 takes shot in one day!
Our team consists of three professional and well trained photographers, a production manager and a designer / backdrop artist. We draw from a consistent group of the best food stylists and retouchers. We are preferred suppliers to Unilever, KLM and Ahold."

Tobias Reymond Foto | Film
Amsterdam
"Content washed ashore; from animal souls recognised on the endless eastern coasts of Australia to the homeless stills of fruits and vegetables in inner France.
In our daily practice as food photographers, we tend to recognize patterns in the arrangements on the plates we shoot: grimacing peas, a triangle, a worm, you name it. Once a client is aware of such mischief, you’re done. All of a sudden, other creatures may arise in that composition of sweetcorn, carrots and edamé.
Natura Mortis, or still life, often relies on the natural beauty of the product and its subsequent lighting to bring out its texture. Our home economists would choose with great care the best produce they can get, often in various sizes and varieties to play within the strict borders in packaging designs. 'Homeless', a rather dark series shot mainly at dusk, tries to tell a different story."

Hans Verleur
Amsterdam
For Hans Verleur, the essence of imaging is storytelling and lighting. In his images he likes to create single-frame-stories in which the action extends beyond the frame and the lighting conditions set the mood. Pinpointing his style, it can best be described as cinematographic; the light tells an important part of the story. On top of this he enjoys the co-creation with creatives and the collaboration with the subjects.
Although his assignments range from portraits to landscapes, Hans considers lifestyle as a core direction in his photography.
He has specialised in customised image banks: client specific image series that reflect the essence of the company or of a certain product. During such productions his full photographic and production experience come into play: storytelling, improvisation, wide production experience, and dealing with challenges and in-depth client relations.
Clients big or small, Hans is always dedicated to maximising the outcome.
