Brian Riedel is an architectural photographer based in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He works across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, photographing for architects, designers, builders, and the trades that bring their projects to life.

His focus is on what a building was meant to be — the intent behind it, the work that went into making it real, and how the space is used once it is finished. "Most people know me primarily as a ski photographer, which is fair, the mountains have been a big part of my life and my work for many years.

But alongside that, and for more than 20 years now, I’ve also been photographing interiors.

I’ve always had a real interest in property and architecture. How spaces are designed, how people move through them, and how light shapes the feeling of a room. I’m often drawn to the quieter details: the line of a doorway, light settling in a corner, or a view framed from inside looking out.

I’ve really enjoyed developing this side of my business.
