The Adobe Marketing Cloud XD team is seeking a User Experience Design Intern to support the development of Adobe Marketing Cloud data visualization in Lehi, Utah. This role will work directly with business and technology leaders to craft the future of data visualization. You are an outstanding full-stack experience designer who embraces difficult problems. Your solutions can be articulated in a complete range of design artifacts. You are adept at working with multiple stakeholders across a large organization and at coordinating against tight deadlines. You are comfortable working collaboratively yet you can execute independent of the team. Above all, you have passion for the growing field data visualization design. You’ll be joining a diverse and dynamic collection of UX, research, visual, and product design experts and are excited to be part of this respectable, cooperative, and mutually supportive design team.
What you’ll do
Create sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and written specs to communicate design concepts to engineering.
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering managers throughout the product cycle, delivering effective design solutions that meet current requirements and can scale for future releases.
Set design direction and prioritize design efforts against the product roadmap and experience design vision.
Accept and incorporate feedback from organizational leaders, design leaders and customers in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce highly polished and professional finished design deliverables under tight timelines.
Engage with customers to validate design solutions and conduct quick rounds of usability testing, incorporating results into your design process.
Review product builds and provide feedback to engineering throughout the product cycle.
What you need to succeed
Progress on a Bachelor's degree in HCI or related field (Interaction Design, Visual Design, etc.) and at least a year of practical interaction design experience. Or, progress on a Master’s degree in HCI or related field.
Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills.
Visual design skills and a desire to achieve pixel perfection in the finished product.
Expert skills in the Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with data visualization.
Experience with interaction design, visual design, and user testing.
Knowledge and provable experience in an ecosystem comprehensive of an experience which includes mobile, desktop, and others.
Aware of current design industry best practices in general.
Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and/or d3.js would be great.
Knowledge of Marketing Technology is a plus.
