The VCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency, set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P) who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels. Their founding client was BT Cellnet, now more commonly known as O2 and the most awarded brand in IPA effectiveness history.

Across the Partnership, we work with a broad spectrum of clients from O2 and comparethemarket.com to Asda, McLaren, Avis, easyJet, Coors Light and Burton Biscuits on a multitude of briefs, from social media or launch campaigns to DM and web build.

VCCP Kin is the social and content marketing arm of the VCCP Partnership. It is a creative content agency, specializing in the creation, production, and distribution of brilliant and effective content for brands. VCCP Kin blends the skillsets of SEO, social media, content marketing, community engagement as well as full-service production facilities. It works on behalf of key VCCP Partnership clients as well as independent clients. In the last year the business produced over 500 pieces of content, from high-end film production to infographics and editorial content. Currently a team of 75 people, it is an exciting time to join a new business as it develops its full proposition to market.

What’s the role?

You will be responsible for running and growing the department as well as having ultimate creative control over all its output. You’ll be working with a team of post producers, directors, editors and other freelance motion graphics artists. The work will be varied, including helping with the art direction, creation of storyboards, VFX supervising on shoots as well as the regular motion graphics work. The candidate must have a broad range of technical skills, creative flare and enthusiasm. You’ll be working in highly creative/dynamic environment and you will be required to work directly with both internal and external stakeholders.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of team of operators

Creative control of all output

Provide visually creative solutions to original agency creative

Scoping out project requirements (with post producers)

Manage project workflow + resource management

Be able to work under pressure in a team environment

Assist in mentoring junior operators + additional freelance recruitment where necessary

Work closely with 3rd party editorial and graphics companies as required

Interface and build strong relationships with internal strategic, planning, creative and technical teams when required

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Degree level in graphic design or similar

Strong design and creative skills

Expert knowledge of After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Illustrator

Knowledge of VRAY, Premiere, and Nuke operations preferable, but not essential

Experience working to brand guidelines and broadcast specifications

Ability to work directly with directors, clients and VFX Supervisors to solve complex compositing issues

Experience with sometimes complex projects, with numerous stakeholders

Minimum 7/8 years working with Motion graphics / VFX

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

Accomplished in working with and if necessary managing other freelance teams

Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to perform in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
