With a love for photography and music, Katja Ruge completed her studies in graphic design and an apprenticeship as a photo lab assistant. She worked as a photo assistant in Manchester in the U.K., and later as an Art Director in Duesseldorf.
Katja has been a freelancer since 2000 working with magazines, companies, artists, and on book projects. She has had themed exhibitions of her works in Berlin, Gronau, Dessau, Hamburg, Brussels (Belgium), Graz (Austria) and Tarifa (Spain).
She published a book called 'Fotoreportage23 - In search of Ian Curtis'. Her latest themed exhibition 'Can Love be Synth?' was held in Berlin, SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas and Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg.
Katja lives in Hamburg and works everywhere.
