A photographer with over 22 years experience, Ian Waldie's reason for being is to capture images that represent a true slice of life while finding beauty in the little things and the genuine oddness of his subject matter.
Having had a previous life as an editorial photographer, Ian’s understanding of what the client desires is conveyed with his ability to interpret a brief accurately, quickly, and without fuss, as well as dipping a toe outside of the storyboard to bring his own eye into play. He has been based abroad in the UK and Europe but is now back home in his native Australia, where he believes it is in both the thinking and the execution that life’s fleeting moments can be captured.
Adding to his stills portfolio, Ian also shoots HD time-lapse and photographic stop-motion imagery for companies, TV commercials, documentaries and cinema.
